PowerStore Fail-Safe Networking (FSN)

What is the requirement to configure FSN?
- Minimum PowerStoreOS 3.5
- Only available on PowerStore T system in unified mode, for NAS server interfaces.
- No switch configuration changes are needed to support FSN.

FSN Description and Benefits:
- High availability - Ensures continuous availability by eliminating single points of failure on the network (port, cable, switch, etc.)
- A feature that enables configuring front-end ports into primary and standby pairs. Only the primary connection is active during normal operation. If the primary connection failed, the system automatically makes the backup connection active. When the primary link is restored, the system automatically makes the primary connection active again.
- Can be configured using Ethernet ports, user-defined Link Aggregation Groups (LAGs), or a combination of both.

FSN Cabling example:
In this example, FSN is configured using individual Ethernet ports for both primary and backup links. Primary and Backup ports are in different I/O modules for a node.
